How can we help?
Using mindfulness and hypnotherapy we can help you with a range of psychological as well as physical symptoms.
Typically, we see people who wish to reduce stress and anxiety, combat racing thoughts, get over depression, build self-confidence and self-esteem, come to terms with traumatic experiences, improve reaction to pain and illness. It will help you manage emotions too - not to turn you into a robot - but to let you accept and process them.
There are many applications and every case is different. We will always chat to you first to see what is right for you.
Stress is a situation where our minds and bodies are challenged to respond to a stimulus, such as a real physical threat or a psychological difficulty. The brain orders the body to respond, with hormones such as adrenaline and cortisol, which prepare the body to fight or flee. It is a natural reaction and one which we need.
It is our reaction to the stress and its lasting nature which can cause problems such as insomnia, anxiety, physical illnesses, poor mental health.
Mindfulness and Hypnotherapy can both reduce stress as they both use relaxation techniques to calm the nervous system and eliminate the fight-or-flight response. But that’s not all. They can then be used to help you combat the underlying causes of stress in the first place.
Right Mindfulness offers a variety of services to help you begin or deepen your practice, including one-on-one mindfulness coaching, group workshops, and guided meditation sessions. We do one-to-one hypnotherapy sessions.

What is mindfulness?
Mindfulness is the practice of intentionally bringing your attention to the present moment without judgment. It involves being fully aware of your thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations as they happen, giving you the ability to recognise patterns of thinking and acting, which are often unconscious and therefore automatic.
Using mindfulness can help you break any unhelpful patterns and give you choices as to which way you want to think and act. Crucially, it also helps you let go of the struggles we have in the mind. It’s not giving up, it’s taking control.
Meditation is the formal practice of mindfulness. While all mindfulness is a form of meditation, not all meditation is mindfulness.
Mindfulness can be practiced anytime and anywhere—while walking, eating, or listening to a loved one—by simply bringing your full attention to the present experience. I will teach you how to meditate so you can do it yourself, and enjoy the benefits without having to come to the therapy room
Regular mindfulness practice can significantly reduce stress and anxiety, improve focus and concentration, enhance emotional regulation, and boost overall well-being. It can also improve sleep quality and cultivate greater self-compassion.
Mindfulness is for everyone. It doesn't require any special skills, beliefs, or lifestyle. It can be a powerful tool for anyone seeking to manage stress, improve mental clarity, or simply live more fully in the moment.
A wandering mind is normal! Mindfulness is not about emptying your mind or stopping thoughts. It’s about noticing when your mind has wandered and gently guiding your attention back to the present. This practice is like a workout for your brain and is the essence of mindfulness.
If your mind did no wander there would be no point in practising. It’s like building mental muscle as you recognise your thoughts.
What is hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is a guided form of focused relaxation and concentration. It uses the power of your subconscious mind to help you change unhelpful thoughts and behaviours. Contrary to what you might see in movies, you are always in control and fully aware during a session.
Mindfulness is about observing your present experience. It's about being aware of your thoughts and feelings without trying to change them.
Hypnotherapy, on the other hand, is a tool for focused change. It guides you to access and re-condition your mind’s processes to achieve specific goals, such as building confidence or overcoming anxiety.
Hypnotherapy is a versatile tool that can help with a wide range of issues, including managing anxiety, overcoming phobias, breaking unwanted habits (like smoking), improving confidence, and reducing stress.
It works by targeting the root cause of these issues in the subconscious mind.
A hypnotherapy session is a deeply relaxing experience. Most people report feeling calm, focused, and very comfortable, similar to the feeling just before falling asleep.
You are always in control and can end the session at any time.
Yes, hypnotherapy is a safe and well-regulated practice when conducted by a qualified professional.
It does not involve any mind control, and you cannot be made to do anything against your will.
The time it takes to see results varies for each person and depends on the issue being addressed.
While some people may feel a shift after just one session, most people benefit from a short series of sessions.
