45-minute private sessions with Alan – either face-to-face or online – where you can learn skills to quieten the mind, enabling a calmer view of the world, and greater resilience to stress. 
 
Mindfulness is often thought of as a way to relax, or just be in the moment. In fact, it has been shown to be so much more than that. The act of being mindful is very simply paying attention to whatever you are doing in that moment, which does not sound difficult or even interesting. 
But the neuroscience shows that when we adopt this state, we can re-wire our brains for more positivity, contentment, gratitude, kindness, emotional stability, cognitive ability, resilience and focus. The brain has been shown to be ‘plastic’, that is having an ability to change in response to its stimuli. We can achieve all of these states by getting the brain to work in a more constructive and positive way, rather than living on survival instincts and fight-or-flight states. It makes for a more fulfilling and enjoyable life. 
 
Alan will discuss whatever problems you may be facing, and tailor meditations and interventions just for you. Take away recorded meditations for you to be able to practice by yourself.
