What is hypnotherapy?
My name is Alan Muskett and I have had a background in corporate life for over 30 years, so I am no stranger to stress and anxiety. I developed an interest in mental health and always enjoyed coaching and counselling colleagues at work, so I am definitely a people person you might say! I am a qualified hypnotherapist from the Central England College of Clinical Hypnosis and comply with a strict code of ethics.
"Alan has been an enormous help - he has really made sure I stay focused on the important things and keep my eye on the bigger picture. His relaxation techniques help to concentrate the mind and generate positivity. He has the patience of a saint too!"
"Alan’s hypnotherapy led me through a process of self discovery and ways to look at empowering myself. Also with his added counsel it helped me to realise where some of my anxiety and irrational thoughts have stemmed from"
Generally, all of our psychological problems reside in our subconscious mind, the part of us which controls most of our thoughts and actions. Often, we have deep-rooted fears which sit here and ultimately control our behaviour. Hypnotherapy relaxes you so your subconscious mind can be engaged and have positive suggestions put to it, which can then change the way you think. A widely used practice, it can cure or reduce anxiety, phobias, traumas, insomnia, and can improve confidence and self esteem, as well as remove unwanted habits such as smoking, excessive eating or nail-biting.
"Having never experienced hypnotherapy before, Alan immediately put me at ease by explaining the process and potential outcomes. He took time to understand the issue I wanted to work on and I was really pleased with the outcome of my treatment"
