Burnout 1-2-1 Coaching 

Perfect for: Individuals who feel they are burning out, or are at risk of doing so, and wish to regain their sense of control, balance and enjoyment over life. 
 
Problems helping: Excessive stress in coping with workload and the need to have a work/life balance. 
The coaching is divided into 4 main parts and is based on the concept of The Burnout Ladder® book, published by Alan in December 2024. The structure of the book is based on the principle that burnout happens in stages, like climbing the rungs of a ladder. At each stage there are defined symptoms for which there are also a series of tools or remedies. 
 
The ladder is a metaphor for the journey to burnout. We all climb ladders in life, some of which are metaphorical themselves; we are social climbers, we ascend career and property ladders. The Burnout Ladder is not one we should be climbing. The trouble is it is often too late to see that it is burning under us… 
 
The four corners of burnout recovery: 
 
Diagnose the problem – it takes 10 minutes to complete a questionnaire, from which a report and guide is produced with key watch-out areas and potential solutions. This is done prior to the first meeting. 
Session 1 – Getting off the ladder – the immediate priority is to address current symptoms of burnout and implementing measures to correct. 
Session 2 – How did you get here? – getting under the surface of the causes of burnout – too perfectionist? A people pleaser? Anxiety? Lack of self confidence? 
Session 3 - How to stay off the ladder – putting good habits into place keeping you healthy. 
Sessions 1-3 are generally conducted online via Zoom / Teams but can be face to face if convenient for both coach and client. 
 
Each rung of the ladder is a stage on the the way to burnout. Identification is not always easy. If you are concerned at all, this program will give you the awareness to save you from emotional pain and exhaustion, and help you enjoy life once again.
